Monday Seasonal Session - Parent and Child Fall Workshop

Join us at The Workshop for some fall family fun! During this seasonal session, students will get the opportunity to work with their parent to complete a variety of festive take-home projects. Each week we will explore a new trade; including welding, soldering and woodworking! All materials and PPE are provided. Class is open to students in 3rd grade and up. Space is limited, so register before the leaves fall!
Introductory Welding (3rd Grade and up)

Ready to explore the world of Welding? Check out our Introductory Welding Class at The Workshop. This 6 week Class is designed for novice welders, grades 3rd grade and up. During this session, students will learn about welding safety, the basics of Gas Metal Arc Welding, and will even get to take home their own welding project! All PPE, tools and materials will be provided.

Rachael’s Rosies: Introductory Welding for Women
with Rachael Wingle
Curious about welding but not sure where to start? This beginner-friendly class is designed specifically for women who want to learn the fundamentals of welding in a supportive, encouraging environment. No experience is necessary, just bring your curiosity and a willingness to learn!
Students will receive hands-on instruction covering industrial safety, equipment setup, basic welding techniques, and proper use of tools. You’ll have the opportunity to strike your first arc, practice fundamental welds, and gain the confidence to explore the skilled trades.
No prior experience is required. All tools, materials, and safety equipment are provided unless otherwise noted. This class is open to women of ALL AGES.
Come discover the satisfaction of creating something with your own hands while building confidence, new skills, and connections with other women interested in the trades.

Jackson County 4-H Welding Workshop

Welcome 4-H members! Join us as we introduce you to the process of Gas Metal Arc Welding. During this single day session, students will learn about welding safety, machine set-up and practices. Each student will even complete the class with a project of their very own! All materials, equipment and PPE is included. Please wear denim pants and close toe boots/shoes. This class is open exclusively to Jackson County 4-H Club members.

Intro to GTAW - Youth TIG Welding

Take your skills to the next level with our Intro to GTAW class at The Workshop! During this 6 week class, students will learn the fundamentals of Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), commonly known as TIG Welding, one of the most precise and versatile welding processes used in manufacturing, fabrication, motorsports and aerospace industries.
Participants will gain hands on experience while learning proper safety procedures, machine set up, torch control, filler rod techniques and more!
This class is open to students in 6th grade and up. Prospective students must have completed a previous Introductory Welding Class at The Workshop. All PPE, Materials and equipment is provided.
